Being a Co-Education College ,the male member are specially oriented to maintain appropriate behaviour, Consequently, we have had no incident of sexual harassment in College till date. However Sensitize our students to handle Sexual Harassment issues off-Campus, regarding Talks on Gender Sensitization and related Issues, Pre-Mature Counseling, legal aspects related women, Female Feticide, Domestic Violence, Women Empowerment, Self –Defense and many more topics related to sexual harrasment were organized as extension lecture during N.S.S.
For Safety of Students and Staff, the promises and surrounding of the College under CCTV Surveillance.
As per the guidelines of UGC and the Supreme Court an Anti- Sexual Harassment Committee has been established by the college to provide a healthy atmosphere to the students of the college. The committee is formed to prevent sexual assault and other related crimes on girls.
GOAL: Prevention of sexual harassment to ensure safe environment for girls students for the studies.
For this purpose sexual harassment include unwelcome sexual determined behaviour (whether directly or by implication) such as : Verbal or Physical threats Insulting, Abusive ,Embarrassing or Patronizing behavior or Comments. Offensive gestures, Language , Rumors , Gossip or Jokes . Humiliating , Intimidating , Demeaning and / or Persistent criticism, Open hostility.
Suggestive comments or Body language.
Isolation or Exclusion from normal work or study place Publishing Circulating or Displaying pornographic, Racist, Sexual suggestive or Otherwise offensive pictures or other materials.
Unwanted physical contact, Ranging from an invasion of space to a serious assault.
Anti-Sexual Harassment Cell assures all the complaints of the students , teaching and non-teaching staff are treated dignity and respect and the complaints should be maintained confidential.
False Reporting: Intentionally making a false report or providing false information is grounds for indiscipline.
